The Bhagavad Gita teaches selfless service as a way to purify the heart, or to be fulfilled. When we let go of personal concerns to give to others, we expand beyond limitations of who we think we are, what we think we need. Another way to understand this transformation is through the image of the sun. The sun gives to all without preference or limit. It needs nothing in return, for it is self-illuminating. Like the sun, we can offer unconditional light and love to the world around us from the Source within.

Our programs and projects are an opportunity to learn, serve, and be a source of enlightenment for the world. Projects include integrative healing programs, work with the homeless, environmental preservation projects, offerings for world peace, sacred literary journal Lalitamba, and more. We are open to expansion. Please let us know about your skills, interests, and ideas.

And what is the treasure of generosity? Sakyamuni Buddha one day asked his disciples. Generosity is one of the six perfections, or paramitas, that the bodhisattva practices on the path to liberation, liberation for all beings. Giving is an antidote to the clinging, or attachment, that is the root of suffering. It is a way to open the heart.
The greatest gift that you can give is to be kind. Live as a free-flowing spring of compassion, wisdom, strength, patience, and virtue. Be of service to all.
If you’d like to make a financial donation, this helps us to make our home your home, and to offer teachings and service for the benefit of all beings.
