Reconciliation: Seeing the Self in the Other
Reconciliation. To see the self in the other. True reconciliation is to realize that there has never been self or other. There is only unity. Wholeness.
The beauty of this one love, this one light, is the way it manifests with such diversity. Still, beneath it all, it remains one. Just as colorful threads weave together into a tapestry. Just as the changing seasons are a part of year after year. Just as ideas of past, present, and future are like projected images flickering through the one moment.
And so, we come to the understanding that the self, this idea of I, me, and mine as something that is separate from you and yours, as something that is independent of the whole, has never really existed. It is a fascinating yet fabricated illusion—our personal identity.
So liberating it is to let go of the confinement of this idea. “Who I am.”
Just exhale.
When we experience ourselves as a part of the whole, we realize that there is no conflict to resolve. We feel that what is beneficial for one is beneficial for all.
No longer do we cling to anything for the gratification of our illusory and fleeting body-mind. We manifest blessings for the good of all. In this way, the power of goodness increases exponentially. As does strength, unconditional love, and liberation.
Live life as a source of peace for the world.
